About Code & Coffee

Code & coffee is an informal get together to write some code Thursday morning. There are no requirements other than the willingness to sit down, pair up, and learn something new. We're going with mornings because the evenings are full enough as it is. Why add to the chaos of user groups, soccer games, and lawn mowing?

If you're interested in joining in, just show up. No invited needed, you don't need to RSVP, you just need a laptop. Coffee not provided, but it's just a few steps away. ;)

Location will be updated in the posts below, feel free to drop a comment in if you're going to join us. Hope to see you there.

June 18 – Stauf’s and Caribou again

Just like last week, we’re going to have two locations coding and coffeeing. Brian, Steve, and Jeff have said they will be at Caribou on Sancus. I will head to Stauf’s, and I believe Matt and Justin will be there, too. We’ve also been promised an objo appearance.

Feel free to hit either location if you have the time. Hopefully we make some headway on our Code and Coffee twitter app idea.

June 11 – Grandview and Polaris

The often discussed venue shift of our little shin-dig will take place tomorrow morning. I’m going to head to Stauf’s in Grandview to do a little coding with some new faces, and get some of their great coffee. My plan at the moment is to get Git working on my laptop and keep working on our little Code and Coffee app idea.

HOWEVER! The Caribou at Polaris won’t be void of C&Cers as @bsherwin is going to head there and work on a little fluent nHibernate.

June 4 – two locations?

There will be another gathering at Caribou at Polaris and Sancus tomorrow morning to write some code. @jblankenburg has promised to write some Silverlight. I may make a short appearance, but the whole “job thing” has me hopping this week. @justinrolston should be there, as well.

For location #2, I’ve promised to head downtown at some point, and I think @bramhaghosh may scope out Stauf’s in Grandview for a probable location. If he doesn’t get there, I’ll head there next week for sure.

Check twitter for #codeandcoffee to see what each location is up to.
